Member Classifications

In the Membership Classifications, “Family” includes the Member, Member’s spouse, and unmarried children under age 23 either living at home or a full time student attending an accredited college or university.

Family Membership

Family MembershipsFamily Members shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club and the use of its facilities; shall have the right to vote at any meeting of the Membership, and shall be eligible to hold any club office, if they meet the defined qualifications. They shall be liable for assessed food and beverage minimums. Annual dues shall be established by the Board of Directors which includes age classifications: 20-29, 30-39, 40+.

 

Single Memberships

Single MembershipsSingle Members shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club and the use of its facilities shall have the right to vote at any meeting of the Membership, and shall be eligible to hold any club office, if they meet the defined qualifications. The Membership includes the Member only. They shall be liable for assessed food and beverage minimums. Annual dues shall be established by the Board of Directors which includes age classifications: 20-29, 30-39, 40+.

 

Corporate Memberships

Corporate MembershipsCorporate Members shall consist of an appointed agent or agents as member representative(s). The agent(s) shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club and the use of its facilities as applied to Family Memberships. Each agent shall have the option to purchase a stock certificate and acquire the right to vote at any meeting of the Membership, and shall be eligible to hold any Club office, if they meet the defined qualifications. They shall be liable for assessed food and beverage minimums. Annual dues shall be established by the Board of Directors based on the number of agent members.

 

Junior Memberships

Junior Membership

Junior Members shall be entitled to golf privileges during times specified by the Board of Directors and clubhouse privileges with the exception of the dining room and the swimming pool; they shall not have the right to attend or vote at any meeting of the Membership and shall not be eligible to hold any Club office. The Junior Member shall have no rights to Club ownership. They shall not be liable for  food and beverage minimums. Junior members must be claimed as dependents and may not be over 22.

 

Non-Resident Memberships

Non-Resident Non-Resident MembershipMembers shall have all rights and privileges granted Family Members except the right to vote and hold office unless said Non-Resident Member elects to purchase a stock certificate, with the purchase of a stock certificate, they shall have the right to vote at any meeting of the Membership, and shall be eligible to hold any Club office, if they meet the defined qualifications. A non-resident member may not own property which they, or a qualifying member of their family, use as their legal residence, principle place of business, or a dwelling place within a 50 mile radius of Oakwood Country Club for more than 30 days during the May 1st through October 31st time period. They shall not be liable for assessed food and beverage minimums.

 

Ltd Golf Memberships

LTD Golf MembershipLTD Golf Members must be at least twenty-one years of age. They, Single or Family, shall be entitled to all privileges with the exception of limited rounds of golf. This is a non-equity classification, unless otherwise determined in the by-laws, and shall have no right to vote at any meeting of the Membership or hold any Club office unless stock certificate is retained at the time of transfer from another qualifying certificate classification. They shall pay dues, fees and assessments as may from time to time be established by the Board of Directors. They shall be liable for assessed food and beverage minimums. Rounds of golf allowed shall be determined by the Board of Directors, the member may purchase six additional rounds. Other rules may also apply.

Introductory Golf Memberships

introductory membershipIntroductory Members must be at least twenty-one years of age. They, Single or Family, shall be entitled to use of all Club facilities. They shall have no right to vote at any meeting of the Membership or hold any Club office. They shall pay dues, fees and assessments as may from time to time be established by the Board of Directors. They shall be liable for assessed food and beverage minimums. The Introductory Golf Member shall have no rights to Club ownership. Annual dues shall be established by the Board of Directors which includes age classifications: 20-29, 30-39, 40+. Other rules may also apply.

 

Clubhouse Memberships

Golf Bar 1 Clubhouse Members must be at least twenty-one years of age. They, Single or Family, shall be entitled to all privileges with the exception of the swimming pool and the golf course; shall not have the right to vote at any meeting of the Membership and shall not be eligible to hold any Club office, unless stock certificate is retained at the time of transfer from certificate qualified classification. They shall pay dues, fees and assessments as may from time to time be established by the Board of Directors. The Clubhouse Member shall have no right to Club ownership, unless stock certificate is retained at the time of transfer from another certificate classification.

 

Social Memberships

Social Members must be at leastSocial Memberships twenty-one years of age. They, Single or Family, shall be entitled to all privileges with the exception of the golf course, to which limited access may be granted by the Board of Directors. They may purchase a total of 6 rounds of golf. They shall not have the right to vote at any meeting of the Membership and shall not be eligible to hold any Club office, unless stock certificate is retained at the time of transfer from another certificate classification. They shall pay dues, fees and assessments as may from time to time be established by the Board of Directors. They shall be liable for assessed food and beverage minimums. The Social Member shall have no right to Club ownership, unless stock certificate is retained at the time of transfer from another certificate classification.

Membership Riders

Group – An association of a minimum of four new Family and/or Single golf members may join and receive a discount on dues so long as they maintain their Group or replace any departing member(s) of the Group with a new member(s). Current members may establish a Group by recruiting a minimum three Family and/or Single new members and receive a discount on dues so long as they maintain their Group or replace any departing member(s) of the Group with a new member(s). The sum of the dues of the Group must exceed a minimum as established by the Board of Directors; the discount shall be established by the Board of Directors. (Life Members may establish a Group, but the discount does not apply to their discounted membership dues).

Membership Costs

Costs for each membership category are contained on the application form. Please contact the office for information regarding existing memberships.

For each Golfing Membership, these additional charges apply:

• Range fee – $125/year

• Minimum of one locker fee – $50/half locker and $75/full locker

• Handicap fee – $30/per person

• Club Storage and Cleaning – $100/Bag

• Push Cart Storage – $100/Bag

• Choice of 2 payment schedules is available for the payment of dues.
